About Margolis

The room that finds you.

Margolis is a cocktail lounge in the heart of Fishtown — hand-built cocktails, an evolving food and brunch menu, and a rotating lineup of DJs, live musicians, and hosts sharing the same floor, night after night.

Nights run the full spectrum: quiet happy hours easing into the week, weekend sets that roll past 2 AM, and everything in between. It’s one room that changes shape depending on who’s holding it that night — which is the whole idea.

New nights post every week, DJ sets, residencies, and one-off parties.

Three ways in. Every night below offers the same three options. Prices and availability change by night.
General Admission

Bought from the person or collective hosting the event, on their own ticket link. It supports the people producing and promoting the night.

Priority Reservation

Admission handled directly by Margolis, with our team welcoming you in. Kept to around 20 guests a night.

  • Priority Entry (skip the line) Come to the Margolis entrance and give your name. You and everyone on your Reservation check in through our line instead of waiting in the general admission queue — on a busy night that is usually the difference between a few minutes and the length of the block.
  • A welcome pour of champagne (half a glass, one each) Everyone checking in on a Priority Reservation is handed a drink ticket at the door, one per guest, good for a welcome pour of champagne. It is half a glass rather than a full one: just something nice to sip on while you take the night in. Give the ticket to the bartender when you order. Priority Reservations only. A Couch Reservation covers admission and seating rather than anything at the bar.
  • Digital Passport rewards Every eligible visit through a Margolis Reservation adds one stamp, connected to your email or phone. After every five visits you unlock complimentary admission to any Margolis event you choose, booked from your own profile. One stamp per guest per event, and each guest is named at checkout so they earn their own rather than the buyer collecting the set. Log in before you reserve so your visits count.

From $20 a guest — admission only, not a table. $20 for the first guest until seven days out, $25 in the final week, $30 once the event starts. Every additional guest saves $5. Sunday through Thursday is discounted.

This is an admission reservation, not a table reservation. Tables, couches, and seats are first come, first served unless an entire couch has been reserved separately.

Reserve a Couch

An entire couch held for your party all night. The only option that guarantees seating.

  • Guaranteed seating, all night Your couch is held from your arrival window through to close, with its own table and a few extra chairs or stools so a full party of six has somewhere to sit. It is the only option that guarantees a seat — everything else in the room is first come, first served.
  • Admission included for all 6 The fee covers event admission for up to 6 guests, so you do not buy General Admission or a Priority Reservation on top. Guests beyond your 6 pay the regular door charge; we tally your party at check-in.
  • Bottle service optional Couches are seating-only by default. Bottle service is an optional add-on, arranged and billed separately by Margolis, and is never required to hold a couch.

$200 Friday and Saturday, $100 Sunday through Thursday. Book more than one couch for a bigger party.

Reservations

Reserve Your Admission Through Margolis.

A Reservation is not a section, status symbol, or separation from the party. It is event admission handled directly by Margolis, with a more intentional welcome and benefits that continue after the night ends.

Your Reservation includes

  • Guaranteed event admission
  • Check-in through the Margolis entrance
  • A welcome pour of champagne for every guest — half a glass, something nice to sip on while you take the night in. A drink ticket each, handed to you at check-in and given to the bartender when you order
  • Optional enrollment in the Margolis Priority List — advance notice any time we have something worth hearing about first
    • Discounted tickets and early bird pricing
    • First call on nights we expect to sell out
    • Margolis-produced events and limited-capacity experiences before they go public
    • Advance notice of select celebrity afterparties and special announcements
  • One eligible visit added to your Digital Margolis Passport

We keep Priority Reservations to around 20 guests a night.

This is an admission reservation, not a table reservation. Tables, couches, and seats are first come, first served unless an entire couch has been reserved separately.

Questions

Frequently asked.

The basics for anyone attending or exploring a night at Margolis.

Visiting Margolis
Is Margolis 21+?

Yes — Margolis is 21+ every night, no exceptions. Valid government-issued photo ID required at the door.

Do I need a ticket or reservation to come in?

Most nights at Margolis run as ticketed events. There are two ways in: General Admission, bought from the person or collective hosting the night, and a Reservation, bought directly through us. Both are on every listing under Upcoming events. On the rare night that isn’t ticketed, it’s open door.

What’s the difference between General Admission and a Reservation?

General Admission is purchased from the person or collective hosting the event, on their own ticket link. It supports the people producing and promoting the night.

A Reservation is purchased directly through Margolis. It includes event admission, check-in through the Margolis entrance, a welcome pour of champagne for every guest, access to future presales, and a visit added to your Digital Margolis Passport. We keep them to around 20 guests a night. Reserve together and every additional guest saves $5.

This is an admission reservation, not a table reservation. Tables, couches, and seats are first come, first served unless an entire couch has been reserved separately.

What does a Reservation cost?

$20 for the first guest up until seven days before the event, $25 during the final seven days, and $30 once the event has started, subject to availability and legal venue capacity. Every additional guest in the same transaction saves $5. Sunday through Thursday is discounted at every window. The exact total for your party is shown before you pay — see Reservations for the full table.

How does the welcome pour of champagne work?

Every guest checking in on a Priority Reservation is handed a drink ticket at the door, one per person. Give it to the bartender when you order and they’ll pour you a welcome pour of champagne. It’s half a glass rather than a full one, just something nice to sip on while you take the night in. It’s a physical ticket, so there’s nothing to show on your phone and nothing to redeem in advance.

It comes with a Priority Reservation only. A Couch Reservation covers admission and your seating for the night rather than anything at the bar. Tickets are good on the night of your reservation, one per registered guest, and have no cash value.

Is there a cover charge?

Ticketed nights are priced per event — check the listing under Upcoming events. On a night that isn’t ticketed, there’s no cover.

What if I want reserved seating for my group?

Reserve a couch. $200 flat, seating up to 6 guests with event admission included, held for the whole night, refundable up to 48 hours before your date. It is the only option that guarantees seating — an ordinary Reservation does not include a table, a couch, or a section. See Reserve a Couch above.

How does the Digital Margolis Passport work?

Each eligible visit through a Margolis Reservation adds one stamp, connected to your email address or phone number. After every five eligible visits you unlock complimentary admission to any Margolis event you choose. Pick the night from your profile and book it yourself; it is held as an ordinary Priority Reservation, with the same ticket and QR code. One stamp per guest per event, and buying for a group doesn’t give every stamp to the purchaser — each guest is named at checkout so they get their own. Visits only count once they’re attached to a profile, so log in before you reserve. Already booked without one? Make a profile, then enter that reservation number and we’ll add the visit as long as the name matches. Rewards have no cash value, can’t be applied toward tax or gratuity, and cover one guest.

Can I become a member?

Yes. Margolis Member is $50 a month for four eligible nights for you; Margolis Member + One is $100 a month for four eligible nights for you and a guest. Members RSVP from a separate allotment that never takes from the 20 public Reservation spots. Benefits apply to eligible public Margolis nights; private events and buyouts are excluded, and Margolis may exclude an individual night. See Membership for the full terms.
